Reflection VI: Mining the Mind

You must smoke before ever hoping to become a Spark to your Self’s flame to burn.

It’s weird how things come to us quicker when we, as a people desire things, whether tangible or intangible. Ideas, for one, tend to fall in this category, especially when I’m on my feet with many fragments or splinters rushing in a competition with my brain for the spotlight. But, as I have just began to understand, it is through Passion for such things that these ‘things’ are found and mined, not by complacency or having one’s brain trapped in a brain-fogging funk. It brings to mind a thing I’ve said to my classmates many times: “Without Passion, there is nothing.”
