IX: Half-Hearted

This is how I feel upon learning that my friend of eight years says he changes his mind about the idea of dating.

I admit to not being very emotionally connected, nor romantic, nor tolerant of the oncoming Valentine’s Day madness. Plus, the only reliable man is my violin, Erasmus “Ira” Eurynomos Emeritus, right now.

I’ve got too much important shit to think of right now, like the violin string replacement, my saving up to move out and my career. Relationships of the romantic kind are a dangerous distraction to this current frame in time.
